Uttarakhand Medical Council is a Statutory Body, established by the law of the State i.e. Uttarakhand Medical Council Act 2002. The formation of the Council is on democratic basis with elected members, few nominated and two ex-officio members.
To maintain a live register and to provide for the registration of medical practitioners
To prescribe a Code of ethics for regulating the professional Conduct of practitioners.
To receive complaints from public (including patients and their relatives) against misconduct or negligence by a medical practitioner, to procced for inquest, take a decision on the merits of the case and to initiate disciplinary action or award compensation and similarly to take action against frivolous complaints.
Only online applications are accepted for Permanent / Provisional / Temporary / Re Registration / Renewal / Additional Qualification / NO Objection Certificate / Certificate of Good Standing. No request for the same will now be accepted over the counter at Uttarakhand Medical Council
Any person who has completed final MBBS examination, can apply for registration online with Uttarakhand Medical Council in the prescribed form (Form-1) with attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications required, passport size photographs and prescribed fees (payment through Debit/Credit/Net Banking) as maybe fixed from time to time by the Council.
